I am a Registered Social Worker, Clinical Traumatologist, and Autism Specialist with a Master’s in Social Work. Since 2014, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, families, and adolescents as they navigate life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in compassion and understanding, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard. LINDSAY CLARA (SHE/HER), B.S.W., M.S.W., R.S.W
I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. I have over ten years of extensive experience working with children (7+), transitional-aged youth, adolescents, and adults.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in relational therapy, which allows me to be present with you as an authentic human in sessions, rather than a blank slate. My philosophy emphasizes looking at the whole person, not just their symptoms, to promote wellness and feel equipped to navigate life with greater ease.
I have specialized training in perinatal mental health and am deeply committed to supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most tender and transformative moments. My work focuses on grief and bereavement after pregnancy loss, fertility and infertility struggles, the challenges of parenthood, and life transitions.
In my practice, I hold space for those experiencing depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, grief, self-esteem challenges, and the emotional complexities that can arise throughout the journey of parenthood. My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection and understanding.
I practice from an eclectic approach, using multi-modal therapies, including mindfulness-based cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), self-compassion, solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
My personal experiences deeply inform my approach to therapy, bringing both passion and empathy to every session. Having navigated challenges with fertility and pursuing IVF, I witnessed firsthand the gaps in mental health support and advocacy, particularly around infertility, pregnancy loss, and following the transition to parenthood. These experiences inspired me to become the therapist I once needed; someone who not only understands the clinical aspects of mental health but also provides compassionate, authentic, and validating care.
